Working in a diverse culture is where innovation is fostered and created! It gives you the different perspectives needed to approach problems and tackle them in the strongest (and most unique) ways. Working in a diverse culture only creates more engaged teams who strive to collaborate and thus learn from each other and succeed together

Working in a diverse culture is important to me because it gives me the opportunity to learn and experience more and develop my skills. You have people from all walks of life with different upbringings, education, experiences, ethnic background, age, religion etc. working together and learning from one-another. It creates opportunity for personal and professional growth; it allows for more diverse conversations, different outlooks, more creativity, different ideas and solutions or decisions to be put forward.

Working in a culturally diverse workplace empowers team members to learn from one-another through exposure to different cultures, genders, ethnicities, voices, opinions, ideas, etc. Coming from an Indigenous background, it is important to me to see a workforce that represents people like me and other diverse backgrounds. Diversity really assists every aspect of your business and can produce both quantitative and qualitative benefits. Whether it is your recruitment and retention process, innovation through different ideas allowing team members to become more worldly, or just making everyone a better human being.
