On an average workday, the Regina Food Bank supports 200 to 250 families. John Bailey, CEO of the Regina Food Bank, leads the organization to ensure that they’re helping families work through the challenges of experiencing food insecurity. With the help of partners, they are always looking for new ways to support the community through their programs.
"We’re here to provide a hand up to those in need," says Bailey. "We [also] want to make sure we not only connect them with the food, but we also connect them with the educational opportunities."
Since 2006, Casinos Regina & Moose Jaw has been a proud long-time supporter of the Regina Food Bank through its annual Against the Odds Food Drive.
The food drive engages casino guests by encouraging them to donate non-perishable food items. Guests can also donate their cash out vouchers towards the cause. All guest contributions are matched up to $20,000 with proceeds benefiting the food banks in Regina and Moose Jaw.
During the holidays, the Regina Food Bank is able to distribute 2,000 holiday hampers to families in need. Bailey notes that this is, in large part, due to the support of Casinos Regina & Moose Jaw.
"Casino Regina has been an amazing support to the Regina Food Bank for the last number of years," says Bailey. "We couldn’t do the work we do without your support."
Casinos Regina & Moose Jaw are proud to be a long-time supporter of the Regina Food Bank.
